چکیده
Fears of black-box algorithms are multiplying. They said to prevent accountability,1 make it harder detect bias2 and so on. Some fears concern the epistemology in medicine ethical implications that epistemology. In ‘Who is afraid black box algorithms? On epistemological basis trust medical AI,’3 Juan Duran Jongsma seek allay such fears. While we find some their arguments compelling, still see reasons for fear. ### The gap between epistemic normative justification Duranand Jongsma’s main claim can confer justification. They helpfully note scope this claim’s implications: its truth would not alone give stamp approval decisions informed by algorithms. We argue here first that the generalized uncertainty principle (GUP) may prevent black holes from evaporating completely, in a similar way that the standard uncertainty principle prevents the hydrogen atom from collapsing. Secondly we note that the hybrid inflation model pro...
